There's no doubting that Chemicals are used during the Prepress and Printing Processes. With the introduction of the Occupatonal Health & Safety (OH&S) Policies, ever care is taken in handling, using and disposing of these checmicals.

Although some of these chemicals are not as harmful as others, we make sure that the disposal of them is handled correctly and environmentally safe. Superfine has acquired 2 1000 litre IBC's which are used to store the used waste chemicals and ink and then every 3 weeks, specialised trucks are dispatched to pickup and dispose of the chemical acording to the EPA rules and regulations.

Wherever possible Superfine has also replaced filtration units so that the actual chemical, after it has been used, has a low flash point. Although we still dispose of it according to EPA chemical disposal regulations, the actual liquid is safe enough to be poured down a drain.
